South West Art Workshops were approached by Walwayne Court Primary School in Trowbridge about putting together an Art Week programme which would incorporate art forms from cultures around the world. The brief was clear and the scope was to create an inclusive and diverse programme. South West Art Workshops created a scheme which spanned over twenty workshops delivered to the entire student body over the course of five days. Some of the content included Chinese Calligraphy, Polish Basket Weaving, Indian Dance and African Jewellery Making as part of their programme. South West Art Workshops sent in their artists and the results were spectacular. Here’s what the school had to say;
‘I know there have been many inspiring moments for staff, as well as the children….. Please pass on my huge appreciation to all artist’s involved within the week, it was a huge success and I felt lucky to have met them all and witnessed their work with each class……. Thanks so much for the support throughout the day!’
