What's On in Dorset?
Dorset is a real gem in the South West, the Jurassic Coast is inspiration to hundreds of artists…
Alongside its neighbours Dorset is famous for its picturesque coast line such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove and boast its coastline as a world heritage site. Its maritime history is also second to none with the natural harbour at Weymouth & Portland being used as a naval base through the ages and hosting the sailing during the 2012 Olympics.
It is also largely rural and its primary industry was once agriculture so its maritime artistic influences balance well with it’s stunning and expansive countryside inspiring plenty of artists and offering much needed R&R for weekends away.
